The scenes you will be working on are from the movie Manchester by the Sea. It’s not necessary to watch it before Sunday, but if you do, please don’t adopt the accents. You will be working with your own accent for this workshop. There are 4 scenes to choose from. The characters in them are either Lee, Patrick or Randi.
Don’t take any notice of the sex of the characters. You can read for anyone you want, it won’t matter for the work we are doing.
Choose 1 scene to focus on and another as a secondary, but please familiarise yourself with all the scenes so that you can read in for each other. You don’t need to work on them, just let them feel familiar and comfortable so that you can stay flexible when we work. All the scenes deal with emotion in some way. Some are more outwardly and some are suppressed. Some are angry. Please just choose whatever you feel drawn to.
The scenes are;
Scene 100 Lee and Patrick
Scene 121 Randi and Lee phonecall ( start at Hello )
Scene 150&151 Patrick and Lee
Scene 205 Randi and Lee
