Preparing The Scene

This course is a comprehensive guide to preparing material to cast or rehearse. You will explore how to unlock performance that can be readily applied independently and look at basic stagecraft and close-up skills. Ryan will take you through lots of simple characterisation steps and there will be lots of nerdy fun! You will explore how to be free, innovative and spontaneous when on camera, look at 3 key questions to break down a script and the importance of eye line and the power of stillness. You will break down the values of the character and their points of view, analyse the style and tone of a scene to determine genre, time, period, setting and the rules and conventions of the world of the play.
