MINIS

Age: 4-7

This class is a well-rounded introduction into performing arts training. With games, exercises, routines and play – this class teaches them basic technique, gives them essential life-skills and confidence and is based around having FUN!

This class is to push potential, nurture talent, explore technique and provide performing opportunities for students. Fun is at the heart of what we do, while providing high quality performing arts training and life-skills. We want our students to gain technique and confidence, whether they just enjoy it as a hobby or whether they want to take their first steps into the profession – this class will provide them with the toolkit they need as a young performer. Junior students have FREE access to IAMPRO the online drama school, where they can find additional resources, take more online classes and have the opportunity to be seen by top industry professionals.

We are incredibly excited to be launching iampro Leicester after a hugely successful year at iampro Derby. iampro Leicester aims to provide high quality training in Acting and Musical Theatre for young talent to learn and thrive. Our school is focused on giving young performers the essential tools they need to succeed in performing arts, whether they want it as a hobby or to make a career in the arts, we aim to provide them with the technique, life skills, enjoyment and confidence they need.

BETH & LEWIS WILSON

PRINCIPALS

Beth is a professional actress with years of teaching and theatre school management experience. Lewis has built and grown several businesses and has extensive knowledge of the performing arts industry.

After a hugely successful year of running iampro Derby, they can’t wait to continue providing a fun, safe space with high-quality training to make the arts more accessible and help young performers to learn and thrive.

AMANDA KIRKLAND

MANAGER

Amanda is the manager at iampro Leicester. Amanda graduated from the Leicester College of Performing Arts in 2011 and has a broad background in the performing arts.

With over 16 years of experience teaching dance and drama to a range of ages and abilities, Amanda also performed internationally with companies such as Carnival Cruise Lines, Kanika Entertainment, and Richardsons Holiday Villages. During the week, Amanda works as a primary school teacher and continues to perform in theatre productions in her spare time. Amanda is extremely excited to welcome our new students to iampro Leicester!

EMILY BENTKOWSKI

ACTING TEACHER

From the age of six, Emily has been captivated by all forms of performance. After watching her first West End production and performing in her first local amateur show at the age of seven, Emily knew she had found her passion.

Since then, Emily has carried this love for acting and theatre through her academic studies and professional training. Emily completed a postgraduate course in Acting at ALRA Drama School and graduated from Edge Hill University with a 2:1 in Dance and Drama. Since then, Emily has worked extensively in both the acting industry and the education sector. Whether it’s nurturing confidence in children or preparing young people for the professional world, Emily brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to help students develop a wide range of acting techniques. Emily’s aim is to create a positive, supportive environment where students can grow in confidence, explore their creativity, and have fun opening a world of possibilities for them to thrive both on and off stage. Alongside teaching, Emily has also worked professionally as an actor, with credits including Coronation Street, ITV’s Tina and Bobby, and the BBC drama Age Before Beauty. Emily believes that with consistency, kindness, and the right support, no dream is out of reach. Currently, Emily works as a freelancer and runs her own online business, coaching women to make healthier, sustainable lifestyle choices and realign with their goals. Emily is incredibly excited to be part of the IamPro team here at Leicester. Being part of a child’s creative journey watching them grow in confidence and express themselves truly is a privilege and something Emily is honoured to be part of.

ANNIE FINNERTY

MUSICAL THEATRE TEACHER

Annie is a recent graduate of LMA London, where she earned a First-Class Honours degree in Musical Theatre.

With a lifelong passion for performing, Annie began dancing at the age of three and has since developed a deep love for the stage. She brings with her a wealth of experience from working with industry professionals, participating in numerous productions, and most recently, performing at the 2024 BRIT Awards alongside Becky Hill and Chase & Status. After spending the last three years training and performing in London, Annie has returned to her hometown of Leicester. She is now eager to inspire and support the next generation of young performers, sharing the knowledge, discipline, and enthusiasm that shaped her own journey. Annie is thrilled to begin this exciting new chapter at iampro!

SOPHIE PRESTON

MINIS TEACHER

Sophie is incredibly excited to be teaching the lovely minis at iampro Leicester. Sophie is in professional training, currently studying at the renowned addict academy.

With a wealth of performing experience and teaching experience, Sophie can’t wait to share her passion and nurture the minis as they develop their skills and confidence!

GABRIELA VERNON

MINIS ASSISTANT

Gabriela is the minis teaching assistant at iampro Leicester. Gabriela has trained in musical theatre and performing arts for 10 years and is extremely passionate about sharing her love for performing with others!

MICHELLE BROWN

SCHOOL ASSISTANT

Michelle started singing at a young age having performed in theatre she started private tuition and went onto study Musical Theatre.

Going on to carve a successful career in theatre performing in shows at home and abroad, throwing in the odd pantomime lead here and there! Michelle has been a Performing Arts teacher for over 15 years alongside private singing tuition and flying around the world as Cabin Crew. Michelle has a lot of energy, fun and experience to help in any way she can for the students to learn and progress in the profession. She loves seeing people win! And can’t wait to get started at iampro Leicester.
